Instead of travel prices, however, PriceAmbush deals with products. So, for instance, if you’re in the market for a new ipod, you can enter “ipod” into the site’s search bar and the site will generate a list of results and their corresponding prices. Addtionally, you can search by tag if you’re having trouble deciding what you want. If you see something you like, click “Add Alert”. This prompts a display of two new fields where you enter in your email address and your target price. The site will then search across various sources using various method (Yahoo’s API, for one), and will send an email alert when the price of the product drops significantly.
